I am Terry from Seattle, they said it was an essential tremor for the past year and recently I had a DATscan done and diagnosed me with Parkinson’s. On 8.29.23 I am new to everything and have tons of questions.

I was diagnosed with essential tremors 12 years ago. My PCP believes I have Parkinson’s and I see the MDS in November for another opinion and diagnosis. We are certain it’s Parkinson’s. I was misdiagnosed as well. Sorry you went through the same.

Hi Terry! They thought I had ET for several years also. I guess my DatScan results were indisputable. I know it’s daunting. There’s a ton of information and experience here, I hope we can be a good source of both for you.
