Hola Lorena and welcome to the community! It’s great that you have a good support system, that’s very important. I’m curious, what are your symptoms? Is there a specific reason why you aren’t taking meds?
By the way, I moved this post to its own topic.
WELCOME!!! Being diagnosed with Parkinson’s can be devastating. I didn’t tell anyone for at least 10 years. All that and it was my immediate family and that was it.
how are you doing now?
My symptoms that I first started with was insomnia and constipation. Later was a bit of tremor in my right hand and right foot. Obviously along with some fine motor skills. A little bit of toe curling. I’ve decided to hold off on meds for now. I’m trying to do more holistic ways since my symptoms are ‘very low’ in my opinion. So I’ve started doing Tai chi 1-2 days a week, physical therapy also 1-2 day a week, acupuncture once a week, Qigong about 3-4 times a week, going for walks a few times a week and I can tell you that I’ve seen my symptoms staying pretty low. I’m trying to eat healthy with low sugars and minimal intake of bread, pastas and bread. I’m also have my faith in God and I started by memorizing Bible verses one a week unless it’s s long one then I take myself two weeks to learn it. I repeat it several times a day throughout the week and that has been very helpful in not thinking too many negative nor fearful thoughts in my mind. I keep my JOY in that way
Welcome! I’m looking forward to learning more of your story.
