This is my dog Willow. She’s five years old. Sometimes I call her my Parkinson’s dog because I got her right after my diagnosis. My kids have been bugging me and my wife for a couple years before that for a dog, but we were resisting because we felt that they were too young, and they wouldn’t take care of the dog. When I got diagnosed, I thought to myself life is short why wait?
She is a handful because she’s a bit reactive. But, she’s super loving and sweet, as can be.
This is Breckenridge Mocha Velvet, or Breck for short - as in the ski resort! She’s half dachshund, half pittie. I picked her up as a rescue last October when she could fit in my hoodie pocket! Breck was the runt of the litter, and is still pretty shy, but she’s enjoying every moment of being spoiled! She’s helped a lot with apathy - having a little life to take care of. She loves to snuggle on the couch, go on walkies, and just be a sweetie!
Here are my babies. Matthew is my 12 year old Yorkie rescue. He favors me and he saved me! Snuggles is my sweet old lady. We’ve had her since a puppy and she has only lived with us. She is 18 years old.
