Hi all , I am like a bottle of pop today.
Seeing the neurologist for the first time to find out weather it’s Parkinson’s. I have thought all along it is by my symptoms.
I am very nervous although I will be glad to find out. I have felt lost lately so I’m hoping I can get some answers . My appointment is at 4.45pm in Cardiff so a long day waiting . How did your first experience feel ?
I went to the neurologist also already pretty sure I had PD. It was confirmed upon examination. They asked if I wanted a DATscan and I declined on the basis that it would not change anything. The effect of the dopamine meds proved the case. I later had an MRI (so no radioactive dye like DAT) to rule out any other explanation for my symptoms.
Morning, my neurologist has said I have Benign essential tremor.He ruled out Parkinson’s. Sorry to hear that you are dealing with it, you will get plenty of help on here I’m sure.
I was overwhelmed my first visit my primary doctor recommended a MSD "motion disorder specialist I found one about an hour away from where I live. He is a professor of neurology at a college and specializes in Parkenson, disease. I have been with him since I was diagnosed in 2015. He is very good at explaining what is happening to my body and brain.which is not good…
