Hi everyone. I am not sure if this is related to Parkinson’s. I am tremor dominant on my right side and have right foot issues where my foot will turn in sometimes when I walk not like a pigeon toe more like I am walking on the side of my foot. Over the last two weeks the top of my foot (right foot) the skin will feel as if it’s burning and sore. I have not injured my foot in any way. Has anyone felt something like this?? I can give more details if needed. Just curious.
I have something very similar. I’m not sure what exactly is causing it. I do have some pain issues in my brain foot, and get twice yearly steroid injections. I found that regular exercise, such as a recumbent bike, or elliptical, will certainly help. It helped with the pigeon toe issue, and also the shuffling that I’ve been dealing with. Consistency is key, and needs exercises must be done every day.
Thank you
Hi Anne. I had toe problems for ages. Turned out to be arthritis in my big toes made worse by my Parkinson’s gait. Eventually I had them both operated on to straighten the toes and fuse the joint. Now pain free walking. Better to get them looked at by a Podiatrist long before they get that bad. There are treatments, shoe inserts etc. that could help if that’s what it is
Hi. Thank you for your advice. It seems to be how my foot sometimes turns in and under on the outside which is strange to begin with but oddly enough now I have like a nerve pain on the same foot but on the top. I have emailed my Dr. I do feel like it’s related to Parkinson’s some how.
I had this issue for five years. Turned out I was reacting to my c/l meditation. The twisted foot has stopped ever since my meditation change. As for pain I didn’t experience any unless I was cramping.
I have the same problem with my right foot turning in when I walk, and burning on top of my left foot for no reason very interesting
