Really struggling and getting concerned

My fatigue is the worst it’s ever been. I am really struggling to walk short distances. Also, I have been having the worst muscle spasms and muscle pain.

Two weeks ago I went into my cardiologist for my standing appointment. Nothing is wrong with my heart thank goodness. I was concerned this may be heart related. He ran some test and everything was fine.

Have any of you had any symptoms like I’ve been having? It feels like I have an extreme case of the flu but it’s been coming and going for 3 1/2 weeks. I have taken several Covid tests. All are negative. I go to my neurologist in a few weeks.

I’m sorry you’re not feeling well Barb. I’m glad to hear that. It’s not your heart though. Hopefully, when you see your neurologist, you can get some answers.

I am having the same issues but none of the doctors listen to me. I was so bad yesterday I couldn’t do anything. I get really frustrated when they won’t listen. I am guessing either they don’t know or they chalk up the symptoms to chronic Parkinson’s symptoms. Which doesn’t help us deal with it.

Hi Barb - the fatigue is awful, and summer heat doesn’t help! I’d tick off the obvious first - plenty of hydration, extra magnesium, you know the drill. Have you had a full thyroid workup (T4, T3, free T4, free T3, TSH, and TPO)? My thyroid has completely eaten itself up from Hashimoto’s that was dx’d when I was 16, so I have to take thyroid med the rest of my life. Sits right next to the Rytary. It’s natural, not synthetic, that stuff just gives me migraines. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

HI Barb I have fatigue also. I have to push myself to do things some days. I hope you get feeling better. when I stand to wash dishes I find my back gives me bad pain in the middle of my back. then I have to go lay down. And I feel struggling also.

hugs

The extreme fatigue was thyroid related. I’m on a stronger dosage just now and feeling much better. Thank you your post was very helpful and got me into the internist. They bumped up my Synthroid.

I have days that I feel the same way. Usually a good exercise day can snap me out of it. I actually get that way more so when I don’t exercise for days, but yes, I do feel days where everything is weak, and I can barely walk a distance, and it feels like the flu.
Unfortunately, on days like that, you don’t feel like going anywhere because your body and muscles are tight and it hurts so you sit and that’s the worst thing to do. And this is where my fatigue sets in and the only way I can snap out of it is the exercise.
